I have an Abit KT7A mobo. After reformatting and repartioning my HDD I began installing cards one at a time. The video and sound cards went in no problem. When I installed the Ethernet card the system would not boot. Take the card out and no problem. This occurred with every open slot EXCEPT number 1 (the one directly below the AGP slot). In short, the system only works with the Ethernet installed in number 1 slot. All others cause the machine not to boot, no beep no nothin'. Is this a problem or should I just go on my merry way with the Ethernet in slot 1. P.S.-Since I just got this thing up and running everything is set at default.
