if i were to want to pelt my system, do i need to get one of those special waterblocks that squeeze the crap out of the peltier? i read somewhere that you need lots of pressure to get any sort of efficiency out of a pelt...
also, i am a bit confused about when and where coldplates and spacers need to be used in a cooling setup... any comments?

Yep, pelts like 150 PSI. Check out the Danger Den Maze 2.1 and 2.2. The order is waterblock, pelt, coldplate, CPU.

what about the pressure between the coldplate and the waterblock that is needed, if this is even true???

The pelt being between the waterblock and coldplate needs the pressure between these two surfaces to be close to 150 PSI for the best results.
