had enough with that quad core, gonna order a dual thinking about the 6400+be what ya think? will that be a good move? want to run it on my mobo (see spec)

not stable to save your life, put my 4600+ on that mobo and ran great. maybe my mobo don't like that phenom but it is a am2+ mobo,so for me a 13300 3dmark05 score for a quad is unacceptable. maybe I should fremed that cpu and hang it on the wall!!!! will be more usefull there:mad:

Thats a good score with a stock CPU?? Your just expecting too much, my 8800gts and my Q6600 only got 13k stock

I get 11K with my setup in my sig and the video card at stock clocks.

Also to the OP, more cores doesn't mean a higher score, 3DMark isn't coded to utilize multiple cores, Running it on my system while watching the CPUs in Task manager only CPU0 got used for 3dmark.

Be happy with 13k in 3dmark05.

I got only 9k. Don't ask what I am using.

13300 is a great score for a Phenom + 3870! WTF are you smoking? There is nothing wrong with your Phenom. Sure it can't clock to 4.3Ghz but oh well, its a monolithic core. Its faster than the dual cores too clock for clock. Get it up to 2.5 or 2.6 and enjoy.

the motherboard hes using only has 5 reviews on new egg and its not even on asus usa's website. odds are his stability isues are bios related but still, when you buy something right off the bat your prone to being a guenna pig, i usually wait a bit before jumping on something new

They fold Great and render great. I found that Civilization and the simulation style building games run better than AMDs duals. The extra 1M of L3 cache helps. As for the synthetic benchmarks, thats like drag racing the quarter mile. It may be faster but at what cost.
