I can't remove the original heatsink of a pentium 2 350 mhz, i have removed the fan, but i can´t get the heatsink out... without hurting the micro...
I want to put a bigger heatsink
Anyone had removed it succesfully ?
How can i do it ?

Thanks

Check on the front page in the column on the left in "CPU Reveiws and Tips".

You should find the info you need there.

Jam a flat head screw diver into the sides to get the little locking clips off the cartridge.. then continue using to screw driver in about 1cm on those edges again to crack the plastic around the pins that hold the sides together.... same screw driver used to bend the back of the pins that hold the heatsink on the other side of teh secc board.

thats how i did it :)
