I convinced my friend to buy this board and now I feel a little stupid because there's a problem I can't fix with it.

I'm seeing if there's any other possible alternative to RMAing the board because of this:

Any single stick of ram works just fine in the board. We have 4 sticks, 2 are crucial and are identical, the other 2 are generic crap. Any combination of 2 sticks of DDR causes the board to give a beep code that under the beep code descriptions its the one that means "DDR inserted incorrectly," as does any combination of 3 sticks. We're tried it with the bios it came with from the factory, then upgraded to L22 with the same results.

Is the board bad?
