Hi,

Yesterday, I accidentally punch my mobo with a flat head screw driver and I broke 3 lines like the ones from the below pic.

Can it be repaired? What kind of tools do I need to repair it? will conductive paint work?

Please give me some advice!!!

Thanks!

welcome to the forums qcat
this really should have been posted in the mobo section but is a simple solution- use the conductive pen or get a rear window defogger repair kit and us a toothpick or stickpin to reconnect the traces. you may need to lightly buff the top of the board at the repair spot with some fine sandpaper. do the repair and check over with a magnifing glass to make sure they dont touch each other. let it dry and fire it up

I did the same thing to my mobo--I tried the repair with conductive paint and it didn't work. Has anyone ever successfully repaired it? How? From now on, I'm putting a piece of cardboard on my mobo to protect it while installing HSF.

would have loved to see the pictures but you would have to load those pics on a HTML doc in geocities as they don't support remote loading anymore.
