I am some what a rookie but I have a experience and know how. But now I'm really stumped. If you read my earlier post you know where I'm at. I just downloaded softfsb, but of course it does not list my motherboard as an option so the is the second choice of picking a PLL-IC. What does that is a PLL-IC. I have no idea what it is and how to figure out what mine is. All I know is my motherboard will not let run a bus speed of 66Mhz even though it is a option. God this sucks I cannot get my new processor to even post at a OEM speed!

Ok the best thing I can think of, is are there any jumpers that control the "high/low" bus setting? some mobo's have a jumper that allows you to overide the cpu parameters...like the default bus setting, if you have the manual, look for a jumper that corresponds to what I'm saying...also look for the same on the slotkett...if the slotkett is set to "auto" you might have to force it to 66mhz. hope this helps

I had a similar problem w/ SoftFSB. My mb wasn't listed. So.......I went thru each mb that was until I found one that did work w/ my board.

Try each and when you do, hit the get fsb button, if it gets a correct reading, bump the setting up to the next highest one. You might have to re-boot a couple of times, but keep trying......

My mb natively only has settings for 100-103-112 FSB,

This is how I managed to get the 105/945 MHz that I run at.

Try it, it might just work for you.
