I was debating if I should threadjack my own thread, decided against it.
In addition to the 970 Evo Plus for $200, for anyone looking for a 4.0 x4 NVMe drive Amazon also has the PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB drives for $210 without heasink, $211 with the heatsink.
More of a midrange 4.0 x4 drive where the 970 Evo Plus is a higher end 3.0 x4 drive, so it comes down to what your system supports.
