I'm looking for a protable CD mp3 player, but I really don't know what to chose. Price is not an issue. I used to to have the iRiver SlimX 550 (just click on the link for info), I have 2 of those and always ended up having problem with them. Like the unit wouldn't work anymore if not plug..... I'm looking for something reliable, slim, and convenient. Thanks for your help

I want to be able to also play regular CD's, as I often get Mix CD's and don't have time to go home to rip them.

Well I have this RCA CD player http://www.rca.com/product/viewdetail/0,2588,PI700582-CI700009,00.html?(sorry don't know how to tie a link to a word) and I think it s great. The only things you probably wouldn't like about is it isn't very slim and when you use mp3 encoded disks on the player it takes a little bit longer to seek before playing. Finally I wouldn't use the headphoness hat are bundled with it cause they suck for audio quality.

I have also used a sony Mp3 cd player(sorry can't remember model) that is slim but at least for me the interface very hard to use and I could never figure out how to get it to quit beeping whenever I pressed a button. Finally to get to the battery compartment you have to open it up and take out the cd.

Hopes this helps in your quest for a new player.
