power dvd in XP

omg!!! it was all jumpy even if it wasn't full screen...

my school gives all the IT students xp Pro, so i decided to try it out...

it seems ok, but when i run powerDVD, it was all jumpy....

i thought it was supposed to be better for multimedia....

im dual booting right now... seeing which i like better, xp or 2k, and ima install mandrake when my friend returns my disks...

anywasy, how do i fix the skipping from dvd player?

full screen dvd watching is fine w/ win2k....

Make sure that Dma is enabled, this can cause problems if not

I have played Video CDs with it - my 32x burner w/ 2mb cache runs better than my 48x CDROM drive w/ 128k cache.

What version are you running? An older version might not like XP.

Cyberlink has a XP upgrade in their support link. PowerDVD does not automatically change display resolution in XP. Before opening change display to 800x600. Watch on with no jumpy.

i got it... im using powerdvd 4.0, i had to change it to 16 bit instead of 32 bit....
