Just out of curiousity, does anyone know what the projected price point of the Kyro 2?

Also, will this card be able to run the Nature test in 3dmark2001? Although it's just a demo, the Nature part of the demo is simply amazing but my Radeon LE won't run it.

It's MSRP is $150, so I bet you'll be able to find it online for not much more than $100. It won't be able to run the Nature Test. The next card to be released that will be able to run that is the Radeon II. ;-)

I'd suggest waiting to buy the Kyro 2 till you see how it performs in the games you play. Tilebased rendering is a great technology, and definitely the wave of the future, but because the Kyro 2 doesn't have that much raw power behind it, it may end up not being the best purchase. In games with hardly any overdraw or which limit overdraw via LOD or something, the Kyro 2 may perform poorly.

Basically that's what I am going to do. I'm playing Tribes 2 right now, and I want the best REASONABLY PRICED graphics card for it. If that turns out to be the Kyro, so be it. Otherwise I'll just stick with the Radeon DDR I have.
