Hi,

Like 3 days ago i finally got my new desktop. Specification:
motherboard: z170 tomahawk,
GPU: gtx 1060 gigabyte g1 gaming,
CPU: intel i5 6600k,
Power supplier: thermaltake smart se modular 530w,
CPU cooling: thermalright macho 120 rev.a
RAM: 8gb hyperx fury 2400MHz CL15

Before i bought a computer i have read a lot about OC CPU (mostly 6600k and other skylake). I decided do OC my 6600k so i put multiplier to x45 and fixed cpu voltage to 1,35 (safe terms to OC). Unfortunately real bench and Prime95 crashed on this settings so i lowered multiplier to x44 on the same voltage settings. Still stress tests crashed. My bios settings:
CPU RATIO 45
CPU RATIO MODE FIXED
CPU CORE/GT VOLTAGE OVERRIDE MODE
CPU CORE VOLTAGE 1,35
In my opinion with the specyfication i wrote above there should not be any problem to achieve 4,5 Ghz or even 4,4 with fixed 1,35 voltage. On tests cpu frequency are stable and max temperature is around 70 degree (mostly 60). I disabled Intel C-state btw.

Please help me!!

P.S. Maybe i should change my supply options (they are on auto all the time and when i use default OC mode ~4,1Ghz bios change this options to 255 W)
P.S. 2 I have disabled xmp profile for my RAM because it doesnt change anything. Memory frequency doesnt change.

Is the BIOS up to date?
What is your LLC set to and what is your vCore under full load?

Post a CPU-Z screenshot under load also post memory speed.

RAM is working w/o OC. XMP disabled, 1200Mhz double channel. Cpu-z shows stable frequency on every core also same in OCCT. Temperatures under full load are max 72 degree, but for a moment, mostly not go above 65 degrees. IDK what happens with this PC. It's new one. I also tested RAM by MemTest86 (first both bones, than 1 by 1). No errors. Please help me guys :( What is fun MSI deliver their "game boost" settings that are 4,1 Ghz with 1,32 Vcore and this settings also kills my PC. Blue screen after 5 min OCCT...

BIOS is updated by live update 6.

Max vcore is like 1,38 but still temperatures are okay (max like 72 as mentioned above). To be honest i don't know what's going on

EDIT. Shop (where i bought a computer) told me that they will replace my RAM bones by new ones. Hope it is the root of the problem

Your ram is probably fine if the PC stress tests fine at stock processor speeds. What is your Vcore voltage under load using CPU-Z to read the voltage, at 4.5GHz it should be around 1.33v.

Hi guys,

I resolved the problem, I think steelseries engine crashed my windows stability. After removing it from start menu everything started to work. I also exchanged RAM bones but old ones were fine, at least in my opinion. Finally I OC'ed my CPU to 4,5 GHz at 1,304 V core voltage on full load. In bios it is fixed 1,32 voltage on core. Imma work on dynamic mode soon !

On the other hand i OC'ed my GPU too (Gigabyte gtx 1060 G1 Gaming) and got extra 1500 MHz on memory and 175MHz on GPU clock. Is it good score ?

Thank you for ur support!!!
