Hi,
Like 3 days ago i finally got my new desktop. Specification:
motherboard: z170 tomahawk,
GPU: gtx 1060 gigabyte g1 gaming,
CPU: intel i5 6600k,
Power supplier: thermaltake smart se modular 530w,
CPU cooling: thermalright macho 120 rev.a
RAM: 8gb hyperx fury 2400MHz CL15
Before i bought a computer i have read a lot about OC CPU (mostly 6600k and other skylake). I decided do OC my 6600k so i put multiplier to x45 and fixed cpu voltage to 1,35 (safe terms to OC). Unfortunately real bench and Prime95 crashed on this settings so i lowered multiplier to x44 on the same voltage settings. Still stress tests crashed. My bios settings:
CPU RATIO 45
CPU RATIO MODE FIXED
CPU CORE/GT VOLTAGE OVERRIDE MODE
CPU CORE VOLTAGE 1,35
In my opinion with the specyfication i wrote above there should not be any problem to achieve 4,5 Ghz or even 4,4 with fixed 1,35 voltage. On tests cpu frequency are stable and max temperature is around 70 degree (mostly 60). I disabled Intel C-state btw.
Please help me!!
P.S. Maybe i should change my supply options (they are on auto all the time and when i use default OC mode ~4,1Ghz bios change this options to 255 W)
P.S. 2 I have disabled xmp profile for my RAM because it doesnt change anything. Memory frequency doesnt change.
