Ok i will make this brief

I sometimes here this clicking noise that comes from my computer when playing intense 3d games. I just intstall a new thermal take fan and i think it might be comeing from that. When i look in the bios the fan reports sometime as going 21000 rpms. Im running 300 watts ps "name brand aopen" There is nothing hitting the fan no wires or nothing . It seems like the fan clicks and stops for half a sec then returns. Maybe my hdd?
Thanks

Trying a different fan will let you know if that is the culprit. If you put a new fan in and you still get a click, then I'd look at a HDD since it's about the only other device with moving parts. Could also be the PS fan as well.

Thats what i think .
I think i might just let it go because it doesnt seem to be giving me any problems. I am going to be upgradeing my motherboard plus fan and cpu in a few weeks anyway. I really think its the fan because the noise seems to come from that area and not the ps . My PS is brand new and just recently started when i put this new fan on .
Thanks

Ok i just flashed my bios to the newest version and now everything runs fine! Weird huh. I played counter strike and , unreal T with the case closed for almost 2 hours and nothing happened. the game never dropped to half frame rates and i never heard the clicking noise. I remember gigabyte sending me that bios through email and it was a beta so maybe that was it. My computer runs at 1000mhz slot a now with no problems in 3d games. my temps in cpu cool were cpu 45 C and system 37c-38 and in the bios its about 5-6 degrees higher for the cpu. note! Before the problem would occur at 43 C for cpu and system 37 C then the game would drop to almost 5 FPS. I remember when it happened i used to open the case for about a second and then it would stop so i guess i knew it was a temp problem. I think the bios fixed what ever power managment problem i had while running 1000mhz at 1.87 volts.
Thanks for the help
