I tried to hook up my digital camera to my PC tonight and it won't connect. I get a "connect error". I'm using a serial connection and comm1. I tried it on another computer and it worked fine. When I goto control panel and system and ports, there's "comm1" and "comm4" and it says both are working correctly. Comm1 is 03F8 IRQ 4 and Comm4 says 02E8 IRQ 3. This is correct I believe. The ISA modem is on comm3 and I tried dialing with it to make sure it worked and it did.

I have hooked this camera up to this PC before with no problems. I can't figure out why it won't connect now. I've already tried reinstalling the camera software and that didn't work either.

Anyone got any ideas??

I'm assuming this is while your running @ 952? Did you try backing down from 952 to a lower setting?

hmm try "assuming u r running windows" booting into safe mode and deleting that port from your device manager then restart and let it re install the drivers see if that works its worth a shot eh? i had a "cant open port" error along time ago in win 95 with an old external 56k modem and that solved the problem
