I have an old computer from ompaq and I want to change the bios because the menu inside has too few functions! What can I do?

No matter how many times you flash it you won't get anymore functions. Compaq's are made that way. I have one and I don't even bother going into the BIOS. It just sits in a corner and crunches SETI.

Almost all OEM manufactured PCs have no options with which to overclock with...

You can find out if Compaq has any BIOS update(s) for the mainboard. If not, you could try Wim's BIOS site http://www.ping.be/bios --but it probably won't do you any good. PC owners that aren't afraid to open their cases have a upgrade philosophy diametrically opposed to that of Tier one OEM's. Theirs: buy a brand new box from us. Ours: Mainboard, processor, Ram or Vidcard--what's the best upgrade at the moment?
