The problem I have is when I play xvid avi's, it has green stuff showing in the movie. Also it looks blocky while playing. How could I get rid of this? Please help of you know how.

What player r using?..if itsmedia player could be the codec?.

try using Power DVD or a Divix player..most of the time it could
just be a bad burn?..
if u have Clonecd try making a copy of that then play it back an see wat happens?...

I have yet to download any kind of video that has good, full screen, quality other than true AVI uncompressed. Could it just be the compression?

If you have nimo codec installed, try uninstall the whole codec, then download and install only Xvid codec (get one on divxdigest.com).
