problem with wd hard drive

i got my new 80 gig wd hard drive all set up and running
one little problem
the darn thing says i have only 32gigs
what up with that
has anyone had this problem
when the drive was formated it said 80gigs but on windows xp it says only 32gigs
help me guys

Did you format it as FAT32?

You can create more partitions by going to Adminstrative Tools in the Control Panel, opening up Computer Management, and then playing with Disk Management.
