Hi guys!

I've got some problems with overclocking my FSB/multiplier on my asus a7v133(bios rev 1008) w. Athlon TB 1.33Ghz AXIA (for complete system, see signature)..
I can't raise my fsb beyond 137mhz (w. 10x multiplier) nor can I raise my multiplier beyond 10.5x (if I set it to 11x+, windows won't boot)
This is starting to annoy me very much!
I've seen several people that can o/c their fsb to at least 145/150mhz with the a7v133...

It's not the RAM, they can (at least) handle 150mhz bus frequency @ cas2..

Might it be the cpu??
(I havn't tried to increase the voltage to anything but the cpu..)

EDIT: ok, I just tested the RAM, it runs in max 156mhz @ cas2 (without volt mod.), so it could not be that..
so it's probobly the motherboard or the cpu..?

My Asus A7V133 hits 148 FSB and I've heard of people hitting 166, so I'd say something else is holding you back.

Did you unlock your multiplier or was it factory unlocked? You might try to unlock again if you did it.

Will it run at 12X100? If so, you'll know the multiplier is not holding you back.

What's your HSF and what are your temps? could temps be the issue?

It might be the temps that's holding me back.. idle temp @ 135x10.5 is approx 48C
I'm using a Tt Silent Viking right now but I intend to buy a alpha pal 8045 as soon as my local store gets one in (it's completly sold out here)...

I searched around here in the forum and found a thread about volt modding, having read it, I increased the VIO to 1.7V and voila! I could run at 141mhz stable(vcore 1.80)! :)
next, I'll increase the VIO to 1.9, hopefully, I should be able to reach at least 145mhz..

the multipel unlocking was done by me(not factory unlocking) with a pencil, so I'll check if some of the bridges has been erased or so.. but the strange thing is that it post @ 133x11, it's when windows is starting that the system hangs..
would a locked athlon post @ 11x mulitipel??

Thanks for the help!
