cpu therm probe Probs with my Kt7

My kt7 has never reported the cpu temperature, and i was wondering if anyone is familiar with a problem like this and how i might go about fixing this. I'm guessing the sensor is just broken, would it be difficult to repair it?
Thanks

Not even in the BIOS HEALTH MENU? If you know how to remove your CPU from the socket you might want a visual confirmation on the thermistor's current state. You would be better off buying something like a Digidoc & have the temp probes contact the side of the core. Better & more accurate readings too:beer:

I agree. Get a DigiDoc or a CompuNurse as the sensors on these boards suck big time. Mine is off by about 10 -15C under full load! I wouldn't trust the temps you get from it at all.

Whichway are they usually off? High or low.
You never know with thermistors really so your going to have to calibrate it with an outboard sensor. Even after that it still wont give you consistent readings. I found something cheaper than a DigiDoc from BART;

$15.00USD + SHIPPING;
