Has anyone ran an XP2200+ on an asus A7v133-c rev1.05. before? I have this board with bios 1010A.

I am looking at buying this processor and seeking advice. I am not certain this combination will work.

Official mobo web site > find a page where officially supported CPUs for specific mobos is > be certain before purchase.

Note that for overclocking. 2200+ will OC as much as cheaper alternatives, plus 2000+ and 2200+ and 2400+ may be new locked Thortons, whereas 2100+ Thoroughbred B probably will not be locked...

I've tried to run 2100+ in it (my 1700+ has bridges set to 2100+) and it wouldn't boot, but it can be easily fixed by setting the motherboard's multiplier bridges to x7 then it will boot up at 1500MHz and you can take it from there. I also recommend getting the 2100+ as it will most likely be of newer stepping and overclock better than the 2200+

Does anyone know where I can buy where I can request stepping codes. I tried ExcaliberPC, but they are out. NewEgg has a 2100+ for $63 in stock but there is no way to get the codes.

Yeah they usually don't list the codes and the sites that do charge a big premium for it.

The 2100+ OEM was the only CPU newegg guaranteed to be a B. They changed the item description recently.

It's up to you if you want to gamble on it, I've seen locked 1800+s, even week 39 1700+, but not a locked 2100+.
