Back up from the dead.

Decided to pull the tigger and get the MSI Geforce 1070 Gaming X cards. These are the replacement to the Geforce 960 Gaming cards. Running SLI setup still, which should yeild great results. I got tired of waiting for the 1080 EVGA FTW cards to be avalible, correction, allow customers more than 20 seconds to place an order when they do become available. They are a bit wider and longer than the 960 cards. It is the MAX this Alienware case can take.. It was a bit of a PITA to install the new cards and equally as so to remove the old ones. The CPU cooler is so large, it's hard to access the release tab when removing the cards. So far so good, quality is better than the 960 cards. Here are some of the pictures.

Moment they arrived

I ordered the wrong SLI bridge. I need a short, not a long.. Stupid mistake on my end. Ordered a new one from Amazon. Will be in tomorrow.

Update. New SLI bridge came in. Also wanted to applogize for the mistake on the old cards. The older cards are 970 4gaming Geforce cards, with the standard ASUS gaming SLI bridge.

Here is the finished product.

Nice build. What's the noise level like with those 80mm fans?

Good morning Leegit! Thank you!

The 80MM fans are quiet at low speed. With the fan controler, at full power, they are quiet loud. Keeps the system pretty cool 72-82 give or take depending on the season. Now being the summer season the system stays a little warmer than room temperature with the A/C on. Winter season, the system stays fairly low in temperature. The video cards are super quiet at idle, you hear them at around 50% or higher. They aren't as loud as the 970 cards. System does great, never had an issue with anything.
