Hey All,
I don't post much in fact this might be my first one. But I read and have learned a lot from you guys. Any way here is my water cooling project named The Obsidian Water God. It is almost complete and ready for the water test. Let me know what you guys think.

A built in bong with a radiator? Interesting idea. You running more than one cooling loop, or is the rad before the shower head?

Nice looking case with the clear mixed with the smoke plexi.

Can't figure out what that stuff does, but damn, it looks beautiful! Very clean and precise work, look forward to seeing the results!!

The radiator is after the water block and before the tower. An engineer friend of mine came up with the radiator part of my bong. Supposedly (in theory) the hot air blowing into the bong will cause the water coming down release its heat better. I guess we will see when it's done:)

interesting. i'd wondered about something like that. introducing warmer air into the bong. only i was thinking a small heating element.

nice looking work.

only thing i'm wondering is... the evaportates quicker cuz it's warmer. the rad will cool it some. granted the heat remains in the system but you shouldn't really gain much if anything.. still. very good idea and nice looking device!!

very great idea i Love that case :)

Ok, that by far is the most beautiful computer part ever built, I love the black and clear acrylic... absolutely beautiful craftsmanship...

Only one question, for how much work you put into that.... why are you using bong cooling? I mean, yes, it is probably the prettiest and coolest system I've seen, but for that amount of effort you could make a refrigerated system? looks like you have an air conditioner up there too? details details please! Looks AWESOME! Bill

I will post more pictures as the project progresses the only other pictures I have are front, back, & more side pictures.

The rad will probably hurt your temps more being in the loop. Here is the reason. The evap cooler will get temps below ambient. With a decent pump, by the time the water circulates through the w/b and back to the tower, it will still be below ambient. So if you run the water through the radiator before returning to the shower head, you have actually added more heat to the water than what the cpu added.

edit> Very nice work:cool:

dang man thats sweet!!! whats the dimentions on the case and the bong?

i was thinkin of a similar thing like that by putting a bong in the case like you did but inside a cube case....

i wanna see some more pics

When do you plan on firing that thing up?!?

I'm rather interested in how that "bong warmer" will work...

I'm Hopeful that I'll have it running by Wed. More pictures on the way.

Here is a front view. Tip don't take the protective paper off till your done.:) Someone asked for the dimensions. They are 24" tall. 24" long, and 8" wide. The bong is 24" tall and has a 4" diameter. The tube for the fan is 3". The front, back, top, bottom, and motherboard mount are made from black acrylic plexiglass. The hardware rails, bong, doors(not made yet) are made from clear acrylic plexiglass.

This picture gives you a better view of radiator and fan. I've integrated the radiator into the case and placed a filter between the fan and radiator to keep the dust out of the water. No hot air should escape in to the case.

I lied:) One more. Here is a top view. Honestly that is all the pictures I have at this time:)

THAT THING IS HUGE!

its very nice though!!! how heavy is it?

how did you cut and bond all that plexiglass?
