I've got a PIII 700 that might be running hot, but I can't make heads or tails on the temperature settings for MBM5 & Sandra. Here is what I currently have:
MBM5 -
CPU: 27C/Winbond2
Abit Thermistor: 50C/Winbond1
CPU Fan: 6702rpm
Chassis Fan: 2677rpm
Sandra -
Winbond W83783S
CPU Temp: 30C
CPU Fan: 2677rpm
I've got the thermistor located directly behind the CPU by it's board (peltier on too). The Abit BIOS reads CON2 (CPU){thermistor] ~ 49C ... System ~ 28C
I *know* the thermistor is on Windond1, because I can move it out of the case and watch temps drop. Do I have the other settings right?
What is the Abit 'System' temp? Is it the m/b temp, or case temp?? Maybe core temp? It never varies much.
I am trying to get MBM5 & my BIOS to add up. Sandra will display the CPU temp info,
only when I have enabled Winbond2 in the MBM5. I just don't know which to take.
Can someone please tell me what the breakdown is here? How should I configure MBM5 with the Abit BE6?
Thanks again ....
Jeff
