If your the owner of a PS3 in the US-of-A (hello from across the pond) & Japan here's a search engine from Sony. Just type a game you want to know if it will work on PS3 and bam your answer will pop up. Thou some games may not show up as there still testing a lot of PSOne and PS2 games so just thought I'd pop that in there.
Games I know don't work (yet):
Tekken 5
Final Fantasy XI - Requires HDD
Need For Speed Carbon - Randomly Hangs During Gameplay
Okami's - Audio Stutters
Gran Turisom 4 - Title hangs on a blank screen
All will probably work with a future system update
