Now like I have said i nthe past, My PSU fan is LOOUD. Now I've been reading about the 7v mod for fans, now would it work to take the ground wire of the PC board of the PSU, and run it out of the powersupply into a 5v wire without messing up the PSU? I really don't want to play around with this, but just seeing if anyone has done this before. Thanks a lot!!!!

I recently replaced my Sparkle 400watt power supply fan with a Sunon 80 mm.

The noise level went from loud as heck to whisper quiet.
