I havea maxijet 1200 which says it is 295gph or so. I was reading and saw that sometimes more flowrate is worse.
I have a maze 4, chevette heatercore, and a dd fan/shroud. My temps under load is 39C (mbm5)
I have a T line because my res i made was too small to handle the power of the pump (i.e. recirculating air bubbles even w/ the divider in the res) so i didn't want to make anotehr i resorted to a T line 3/8-1/2-3/8, my system is 3/8, i figured if i get a 1/2 at the T the air would have more time to escape.

ANYWAY, i don't have alot of air in my sys, some, but tiny ones.
i think my temps are too high, i want it to be cooler, should i get a less powerfull pump?? or what??
Thanks, ROB:D

More flow is never bad. If you have too big of a pump though, because it puts more heat into the water than it's flow is worth. Water is touching your block 100% of the time, so making it move faster cant hurt it.

Don't mess with the pump. First, it's a crap shoot as to whether temps go up or down. Second, the likely direction is up if you reduce flow. Third, any change will be very small...not worth the effort when other parts of the system tend to have a greater affect.

Check airflow. If you only have one fan then consider two. Maybe your Maze 4 needs to be flattened. You could have air stuck in the radiator. Check those things first. As for your pump...it's a perfect watercooling pump. keep it.

Yeah, your pump is fine. As a rule, more flowrate = better performance, as long as pump heat or something else isn't counteracting that.

39C at 1.7v really isn't a bad load temp...I'd be happy where you're at.

As others have said, your pump should be fine;

The small air bubbles may be a concern though: how many and how long have they been there?
Do you have hose clamps on all your connections?

If you have a LOT of small bubbles then you probably have a leak somewhere, even if you can't see it!

ya i have hose clamps on everything, it is probably my T line not doing its job, i probably should go back to a res.
I also am using a hold down for my maze 4, i should go back to the mounted holes, maybe it would give me better contact.
