The instructions that came with mine showed that you can mount it sideways, but specifically said to not mount it upside down.

Oh, I see it now. Hehe (I’m not big on reading manuals) :p Well, do you think it would be ok to mount it like this???

That's fine. The Eheim in my Swiftech Quiet Power is mounted with the inlet pointing up.
