Bought the parts today, and I'm trying to put the mobo in but some of the screws seem to be a little off! What should I do to remedy this? It is an ATX case and some of the screws to fasten to mobo in are fine but some are just a tad bit off! Please help!

Ooops I forgot to mention it is an ASUS A7V133 mobo. And some sort of generic ATX case.

Nevermind I got all of them in except for one that is VERY hard to reach so I am just not going to bother putting in that screw, the mobo is stable in there and will not move around. ;)

Just be sure that you support your motherboard when you install the cards and memory, when installing cards into new slots. The previously unused slots are often times very tight and extreme pressure installing the cards will deflect the boards considerably, risking failure.

Good Luck!

All the screws aren't required. Just try to get the most supportive ones in. I've actually built boards and only used 3 screws to hold the board in place due to using a propreitary case (Dell). That was over 4 years ago and the puter is still running my network at home.

It's an old AMD K6-233 with 192MB of ram. Runs my File server.
