Man gotta say i almost die from a heartattack this weekend. After fromating my comp i started to play quake and 5 min after getting into any server, the comp crashed badly with even bizarre sounds for a few secs, then i though "holly Y·%·$/", opened the case that very moment and no strange smells, phewww... Then i managed turned the comp on and everything was fine, so i thought "maybe its too much of an oc" so i took the cpu and vidcard to stock speeds and wham!!! same nasty crash while playing quake. So i rebooted and tried serious sam and other games and it would run fine, reinstalled drivers, same probs with quake3. So then again i thought "man, i messed my brand new format, gott start over again". I like to do things once and for all thats why my fromating and software installing/tweaking can take 6 hours  . But what the heck, after another evening of lameness, "man lets get some quake3 now, but this time stock". 10min.... HGAUIEUHASH$)(·(&(·"(U((DS$ nasty sounds and hard lock...

So i started to think, "wtf, this setup has been runing for a month without any major problems and it seems something here is dying". OK, so i ran prime95 overnight, no errors, so thats not a cpu problem, but then again i thought "why in the bloddy hell did i trust this crap pcb ram???" so i was about to rma, and tried quake again to see if anybody was having the same problem, success, a dude told me the very same strange noises and crash after 5 min running quake, he also reformatted too LOL :D

Whats the problem??? i closed powerstrip, flawless...

Lets hope for a powerstrip update soon...

Powerstrip is junk

Any utility that makes you run a memory residient program for no good reason is junk. As you see the possiblilty for screwing up the program the computer is there to run in the first place is great. Perhaps the person who makes powerstrip regards it as a worthwhile compromise, I don't.
