Hello, Im relatively new to the installation of motherboards. I just bought an EPoX 8k7a and one of the jumpers is for "DDR Adjust (2.5V)". It allow you to adjust it +0.0V,+0.1V,+0.2V,+0.3V,+0.4V. The default is set at +0.1V. I have a stick of Crucial 256MB PC2100 DDR ram and its specifications state that the DDR Ram voltage is 2.5V. I would just like to know if i should leave the jumper at +0.1V or change it to +0.0V. Why is the default +0.1V? Thank you!

A little extra juice is there for stability. Other motherboard manufacturers do this same thing. For example the standard 3.3 volt voltage is: 3.3v (duh). However on the Asus A7V133 and A7V the 3.3v is set to 3.5v as default. That extra voltage is meant to help increase stability and it is small enough that it won't cause any serious problems. If you want, go ahead and turn the DDR voltage down...if your comp remains stable then no problem. Really the +0.1v is not going to hurt anything and it might even keep things running smoothly. I have mine set to +0.3v so my memory is rock solid running at 150 MHz. (+0.2v was not 100% stable)

Interesting that you needed +0.3v to run stable at 150 Mhz. I have the same memory and mine runs fine at 150 Mhz with the normal 2.6v and 8-8-6-2-2-2-2 memory timings. I think it will even go a little higher (maybe to 155) before I need to back off on the memory timings and/or increase the DDR voltage.

I guess every stick is a little different.
