I just got a sony picturebook laptop the other day and it advertised a firewire port, so, I got a firewire burner. Whewn I got home I realized that the picturebook has the video camera kind of firewire, the small port, and the burner has the regular firewire version, the bigger port. Does anyone know if there is an adapter for the two.

Thanks,

i do not believe there is any kind of adapter for this kind of thing..i have a sony laptop as well and they call their firewire "ilink" and you have to use their ilink cable..it kind of sucks but i am sure you can pick one up at any computer store..

Yes, that should be all you need. The 6 to 4 pin cable will do the trick...I think. For $4, you don't have much to loose.
