I recently purchased a Clear View Tech case and wanted to have a clear resevoir for my pump as well. This is for the dye-lite and for looks only. I tried the acrylic flip-top container from Walmart, but it cracked every time that I tried to tap it for my hose barb fittings. I don't like the way those grey electrical boxes look and wondered if anyone else knew of an online vendor, or perhaps something I could buy locally, that would work for my Danner model 1.9 pump? Like I said, I prefer something clear but if it looks cool enough that does not matter. Thanks for your help. Mark

I think peewee from this forum had a clear container he used on his. It looked pretty cool. Although he was having the same problem with it cracking. So he drilled and installed the barbs in the top or cap of the container. This is ok but it may make some noise when the water returns the the reservoir and splash's in.
Otherwise you could always buy some acrylic plexy glass and cutt it to size, glue it and seal it off with silicon sealent. If you use 1\4 plex it wont crack when you drill it. Then you could make it any shape or size you want.

yeah i made mine from the walmart container lemme see if i have the pic..

another pic
i also dont have that rio pump anymore i have a maxijet 1200....
i have bought a special bit that drills lexan.... it works great.. though i still used the top for the barbs so i dotnt have any leak prob's!!!
and it fits in my case fine...

I got this from TAP plastics...cost about 3 bucks.. They had all kinds of sizes. I live nearby so I just walked over. Also they have flourescent colored plexy glass and it glows very brightly with blacklights. http://www.tapplastics.com I just used some velcro pads on the bottom and set it on the ps.

That looks cool and all, but how does the lid attach? I don't see any screws or gasket material?

Well...you got me there AMD guy...it is a source of concern for me. I havent had any problems yet but I do plan on carrying this over to a friends house so what I think I will end up doing is sealing the lid with silicone or expoxy and affix some sort of threaded plug on top.
