Don't know much about RAID set-ups but after reading some info, it sounds like you can set a new MB like the Iwill KK266-R so you have 4 primary IDE channels. Is this correct? If not why are their so many people getting the new RAID boards these days? I always thought of RAID as a thing for servers and such. Thanks.

i have the abit kt7a-raid board with 2 (ibm 75gxp) fastest ide drives on the market. i get 45,000 for the hard drive benchmark on sisoft sandra 2001. I put the raid array in striping mode(half the data on each drive) fast!!!!! my other computer had a western digital ata66 7200rpm and it gets only 15,000 on the hard drive benchmark.
