Question about Sanyo Denki Dyna ACE 172mm x 25mm fan

Planning to use it on friend's custom case for blowing the mobo's bottom/back side and his case has room for 25mm fan on the right panel.

Looking at the spec, the noise is 48dbA at full speed, wondering if it will be "relatively" silent when undervolted, the datasheet doesn't put any noise chart in it.

Has anyone ever try or use this fan ? Please share your experience if any, TIA.

Judging from the data sheet, I don't think you will be able to get that thing very quiet. Operating voltage is 10.2V - 13.8V with 162 cfm of airflow at 12V. If you could undervolt to 5V-7V maybe it would be tolerable but at 10V I think it will still be fairly loud.
