I already have two Corsair stick of RAM from what I can tell they are not made anymore. I want to get another two to add to the mobo, do they have to be the same make/model as the one already on it or can I buy any two sticks of similar specs?

Any two sticks are fine. If the speeds mismatch, they'll all run at the slowest speed. However, if you're OCing, you typically only want to use 2 sticks of identical make/model/specs.

Using different types of memory, in general, will force the fastest to underclock down to the level of the slowest.

Plus more parameters come into play, as latency, and voltage-plus the different quality standards for each different model.

personally i would go for the same model sticks, but we all have our own views.

You'll be fine as long as all sticks can handle the same voltage, speed, and timings.

I'm upgrading a Pc I have, it was never to high gaming spec when I got it. It will all depend on what cash I have in a few weeks. My dentist want the best part of a €1000 for a root canal!
