I was wondering who here is watercooling w/ a Lian-Li PC60 and how you are doing it by pictures and descriptions. I want to set up my first water cooling setup since I have a very hot 1.4Ghz T-bird in my system (and to also minimize noise too). My max CPU temp goes up to a little over 50 C when my system temp never goes above 24 C. I wanted to see how you guys set up the radiar in the case.

Been wondering about the same thing myself. Just order the black ice extreme. I thing I'm going to mount the rad on top of the case between PS and the CDROM. Any input about that guys?

I have taken out my hd bay, and would of taken out the 3 1/2" bay, but I realized something.... You need it for the faceplates. So I took the drive cage and cut it down to about a little over 2 inches long. This is so I can fit in my heatercore I modified, and then I put my pump in the rear of the case. I am not using a floppy drive, and I have a hd cooler for mounting my hd. I only use the first 3 pci slots, and agp slot so I can fit the pump in. BTW, I am using a pc-68USB. I am still working on it, but hopefully I will be done in a few weeks. :D

I have a PC-60 and a watercooled system. I don't have access to a digicam so I can't post any pics. :( But even if I did, you probably wouldn't be able to tell what's what in my case with all the cables everywhere.

At any rate, I have a large pump (Eheim 1250) and it sits on the bottom of the case. To put it there I removed the hard drive cage.
Even with the pump there, I am able to add/remove pci cards as needed. It has just enough room.

I managed to squeeze my radiator inside the top two cd-rom bays. It's a D-Tek customs rad and fairly large. I cut a 120 mm blowhole directly above it (top of the case) for ventilation.

My setup is kinda ghetto, but it does the job. And when I did it I was pressed for time. If I could do it over again (I suppose I could) I'd probably get a black ice radiator due to its smaller size.

Well here is a pic of my watercooled PC-60.

I had to remove the hard drive cage from the bottom to fit the rad in there.

I might go to a bigger pump like a 1250 but I will have to lose my fill/bleed setup to make it fit, and go with a Tee-Fitting for a air trap.

thanks crappy. I'm just trying to get an idea on how to setup a watercooling setup once i have the money to afford one. I'm sick of using hsf setups that don't work too well unless you use loud deltas. i want my 1.4 t bird to be cool, but also have the computer be at a reasonable noise level. Oh yeah I was wondering how you removed the drive rail (or whaterver you call it) and where you placed your pc speaker. I too was looking into a Black Ice radiator. What's the dimensions of the radiator in your case?

I removed the drive rail by drilling out 4 pop rivets that are holding to the floor of the case.

And the PC speaker is not in the case at the moment. I had to make a holder for it and was going to mount it to motherboard tray. it still sitting on my desk waiting to be installed.

The dimensions of the BIX are 5"wide 6"tall and about 1 3/4" thick.

Hmmm... Which Lian-Li PC60 do you have Crappy? The clearance from the bottom of my PC60 to the bottom of the floppy drive cage is about 5 and 1/8". The case I have is the PC60 which comes w/ the HD drive cage that can fit up to 5 hd's. I remember that Lian-Li have put out slightly different models of the PC-60 and now the very new ones supposedly have an 80 mm blow hole at the top. Around what time did you buy your case?

I mounted a Black Ice Prime (on its side) below the floppy drive cage in a PC60. It is an extremely tight fit. In fact, It is probably about 1mm too high so it really somewhat difficult to even get into this location.

Wow. This is all very interesting. I own a PC70, and would very much like to go to watercooling. Finances currently prohibit me from doing so, but this is great stuff for ideas on how to do it. I know next to nothing on water cooling as far as experience is concerned, but the damn Delta 80x38 on my SK-6 is really getting old...

I got my case some time around 10/01 just about the time they started putting the USB ports in the front of the case.

I have the 5 drive HD cage on this case

Yeah i Have the same case as you Crappy. I got mine around The end of December 2001. My case has the 5 drive rack and the usb ports in the front. So is it that the BIX is more wider than taller, making the width 150.4mm and the height approx. 128mm?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. The BIX is taller then wider thats why I installed it on it's side. It was the only way to fit it under the floppy drive rail.
