I have some 7.9 inch dc fans that blow 377 cfm at 24 volts. I plan on running them at 12 volts.

For the heater cores, I was thinking about using the 2-692 heater core.

Pumps will be Mag3's.

Questions:

1. Does anyone know how to find the autozone part number for the 2-692 heater core?

2. Can I attach a 3/4" barb to the Mag3 outlet, and use 3/4" tubing to connect to the 3/4" inlet on the heater core?

3. I also want to use a 3/4" barb on the Mag3 inlet, but use 1/2" tubing. Is that okay?

This will be an external box with 2 separate loops (cpu & nb/gpu).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1. - Go here: http://www.pullmanford.com/heatercores/xref.asp and put in your heatercore #: 2-692. Then use the vehicle reference it gives you to locate the part at an auto store.

#2. That's what I did with mine, but bear in mind that you'll have to use 5/8" ID tubing - otherwise 1/2" ID won't fit over the 3/4" barb.

#3. Again, I doubt the 1/2" will fit. I tried boiling mine for a couple minutes, and tried for about half an hour to get it to work...no go. I ended up using a little male/male pipe joiner thing and screwing it in, then stretching my 1/2" over the threads on that.

It's possible to fit 1/2 tubing over 3/4 you just need to boil it and sorta shove it on the the barb. I did this to my chevette.

Personally I would get 5/8 tubing if you really want to use 3/4 barbs... or even 5/8 tubing with 5/8 barbs sound nice.
