quick noise question!

if i have a 34dB-A noise fan and 2 25dB-A noise fans

would the total noise lvl be the 24+25+25?

or would it just be 34, as the louder fan shadow over the 2 quieter ones? thanx, bye.

It's definitly not 35+25+25.
Some member posted up a program which calculated the noise level for different fans in different place.
I think your noise level would be under 4dB's.(me thinks)

doesnt work like that.

There is a forumla for Db's and from memory yours wont go above 40's

Unless all fans are working at exactly the same frequncy and wavelenght.

Does any one know where to appy is to calculate how many Dbs you have. I wouldnt mind calculating what mine is in total.

ok i worked it out using that dos program on http://www.overclockers.com/articles607/

and i got 3 fans, 34.5dba, 25dba, 25dba, all oprating at 100% speeds

the program says it will be 35.3792dba in total, which is not to bad and hopefuly my tmpe will drop by 5C with these 2 new case fans.

also finders crossed that they r the same (almost) frequency
