Here is the info on the T-bird my friend is selling me is it good for O/C?

AXIA is the best steeping for o/c especially on the 1000mhz, you should expect 1400+ out of the chip with good cooling. How much is he selling it to you for?

The '9' in the third line might slow you down. It is known that a 'Y' stepping gets you a better OC.

yep, with watecooling, you'll be able to bump up the voltage and still get rid of the heat. My AXIA has hit 1530 at 1.85V, but I'm only using air cooling, so it wasn't that stable. I know she's got more speed in her, if I could only get rid of the heat!

Where'd that rig go as it's not in your signature? :)

It's the same rig that's in my sig. If you'll check some of my other posts you'll see that I've played around with ducting cold attic air into my case. I could only attain 11X139=1529 on the coldest days. :( I can run at 10X148 at standard room temps, so that's what I post in my sig. I just posted the speed I use everyday, Not my best ever. sorry for the confusion.

hmm. out of curiosity, how good is my t-bird's stepping for o/c-ing ? AYHJA

that's the best TBird stepping. If I'm correct all 1.4 TBirds are factory unlocked (*edit: I was not correct :( ), and all that I've played with have been able to hit around 1600 MHz or better.

[peer pressure]
From your sig it doesn't appear that you're overclocking. Your temps look good, you've got a great cooler, and a good chip. What are you waiting for? Crank that badboy up and see what it'll do! [/peer pressure]

No, not all are "factory unlocked". Mine wasn't and I've seen a few others in this forum that weren't as well.
And, yup, these AYHJA birds do pretty well :D

if u have a kk266 the volt mod is fairly simple if u have the stuff and a good soldering iron.. i got mine for 7 bucks at radioshack took me about 2 min to solder the wires on.. and look at my sig to see how far i have mine at right now... im thinking about seeing if i can get it to 1.5 .. i would have alrdy been there if it was not for the 9 in my stepping.. o well u take what u can get... but uping ur vcore takes some s farily good cooler to keep the temps fair... i went from 34 under load to 40 to 43 max under load from 1.75 vcore to 2.05 vcore... but i dont care 43 at its max is still well under the unstable range... o yeah and im doing air.. i love my alpha 8045 :D

lol. yea. i would o/c it, but my current mobo doesn't o/c the fsb too well (becomes unstable @ <=140 fsb). also, mine is factory locked (either that, this mobo doesn't o/c the multi either). but in just a few days time, i'll be getting a new KR7A with some good crucial ram (only god knows what is in there now), so we'll see how it does then

Okay I searched for this on the database, but didn't find any that goes this high and the stepping no one has.

This guy is selling his chip that is a T-Bird 900 O/C @1.587mhz (11.5x138) stable under Win2K. But can pass bios at 1.6mhz (12x133). But says its a week 17, year 2001 AYHA. Is this for reals? Or is this a fake. He has pics of it too.
