so i am looking for another Western Digital 160gig Hard Drive with 8meg Cache, i check new egg and this is what i see:

HD 160GB Western Digital WD1600BB 72R 8MB OEM WD1600BB
Specifications:
Size: 160 Gigabytes
Interface: IDE ULTRA ATA100
Seek time: 8.9ms
RPM:7200
Data Transfer: 133MB/sec
Cache:2MB
OEM(Drive alone) 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty: Model#: WD1600BB -OEM

now it says 8MB, then the Cache says 2MB, so it's not 8 or is it?

I can only assume after looking at neweggs site that the 160gig (the only 160giger) is not one of the "special edition" hard drives with the 8mb cache...If my memory serves me right the "BB" series only have 2mb cache:)

WD1600BB has 2Meg cache by default. For 8MB cache and 160GB look for the WD1600JB.

Maybe email newegg and ask them why the description says 8Meg.
