How well does the ATI Radeon 64mb DDR vivo card work under Windows 2000 Pro?? I play a lot of games, and mainly want to know if the Win2k drivers are as good as the Win98 drivers. I would appreciate feedback from someone that actually has a Radeon and Win2k, not someone who THINKS they know what they are talking about.

Before I found out that some of my programs wouldn't work under Win 2K I did a bit of testing with my Radeon VE. Don't have the numbers with me here at work but I was unimpressed with it under 2k. The best score I got after installing SP1, upgrading to latest drivers, upgrading to DX8a, and using the Radeon tweaker did not even come close to installing it stock under win98se (by about 300 3dmarks in 3dmark 2000). If you want good game performance go with 98 and not 2k.

I beg to differ. W/ the latest VIA drivers, the latest Radeon drivers, ServicePack 2, DX8a and overclocking it to 205/205 i can get about 5100 3DMarks in Windows2000. It works very well in my opinion. I say go for Win2000
