under preasure the water leaks from a joint in the radiator, do you think super glue or hotglue gun, would stop it? or do i really need to spot weld it and get someone else to do it? maybe even plumbers glue or cocking..

You MIGHT be able to use 5 minute epoxy to seal it, but make sure you remove any paint or anodizing from the surface before you apply it. It could be kinda ugly when you're done, but it'll work.

Is the leak towards the outside of the core? If so, clean with a wire brush, then follow with a little alcohol/acetone on a q-tip. Then mix some JBWeld and use a cheap testors paintbrush to put it where you need, in small quantities. Just dab it into the area.

Let cure overnight, and leaktest it. If it still leaks, do the same thing again.
The waiting thing is a pain in the arse, but it will hold about forever....

If it's in the fin area at the end of one of the tubes, you might still be able to get in there to do the same repair by 'convincing' the fins to move a tad. Use some sandpaper on a popsicle stick to clean it instead of a wire brush.

its at the part of the tube end where i clamp on the tygon tubing and where the 1/2 barb is welded to the radiator, so i guess i can try the epoxy maybe sanding it down a bit, not sure what jbweld is,, ..

ah ok, i think that would be best and if that doesnt work, dremmel it off and try the epoxy..

JBWeld works great but I couldn't find any at the time I needed it so I used Oatay "Plumbers Putty". It takes a while to dry but worked fine even when I did it with water in the system.

JBWeld is a two part epoxy that comes in two tubes. Mix an equal dab of each on a scrap piece of cardboard and mix well, and apply where you need it. The JBWeld kwik is great stuff too, but with much less waiting time for curing.

You can get it at evil evil wal-mart, kmart, meijers, autozone, pep boys, just about any chain store that carries auto parts and stuff.

Here's a link to see pics of their products LINK
