Raid? GA-7DXR

I have the GA-7DXR, and i want to know how to get my hdd to boot into raid0 mode.
When i put the IDE cable into IDE3 it wont boot, i set the jumper on the board from ata100 to raid, and set the bios to boot from IDE3, has anybody else got this board running their hdd at raid0.

You need two hard drives, one on each of the raid IDE channels.

After you've got two hard drives, then you need to make your array. If you're just going for another IDE connector, then I suggest you move that drive (from which you appear to be trying to boot from) to the Primary IDE connector. Then, to use your other hard drive on IDE3, set it to ATA, not RAID.
