Hi,
I have a simple question about RAID
1. I know in order to set up RAID, you have to reformat the drives correct
2. And after you set up the RAID 0, then you want to get back to normal ( NON - RAID ), would a reformat required again ????
3. Back up using NORTON GHOST will recovered the RAID or NON RAID as beofre?
thanks

1. yes
2. yes
3. unless it was the raid that you backed up it wouldnt be any point. especially if its hardware raid. if you make raid and make a backup, then something fails, you have to get a new drive, rebuild the raid, THEN restore the data. if you backup before the raid, you gotta dismantle the raid (reformat) then restore the data to each sperate drive

what do you mean if the raid fail then I have to get a new drive??
Is it if I set up the raid before back up, if the raid fails, then could I just reformat the hard drive and re set up the raid again or using IDE as normal again?? could I do that?
