Hello,
I have a question. Is Dual 40 gig Western Digital 8mb cache 7200rpm hardrives on a via raid controller on the asus p4p800 deluxe or 1 80 gig Seagate Baracurrada 7200rpm Sata Hardrive faster? Which is better and why?
The type raid that will be used to will be the one that uses 2 hd's to read/write etc not combine the hardrives or backup existing data.
thx

The RAID 0 array would almost deffinatly be faster. HDDs right now really don't use all the bandwidth SATA has to offer, it's access to the HDD that is limiting so RAID is the way to go here.
