Some people believe that aluminum dissapates heat better, Im not sure if it does or doesnt, however I know I get pretty good performance from these myself. Plus they are on sale for 7 bucks for 4 right now. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

you can also make 'em out of old heatsinks. I know the heatsink off of my old GF2MX was perfect for making into ramsinks.
