Ram Slots!!

I was wondering whether slotting RAMS in different slots will have any changes?? Like if I have 3 RAM slots, any difference if i use slot 1 & slot 3?? or slot 1 & slot 2?? or slot 2 & slot 3??

I currently have 2 Kingston PC133 256 MB rams.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no.
It's one of those you will just have to try and see things.

Certainly can make a huge difference.

Seems to be that a single stick is best, but if you must use two, experiment with them in the different slots, benchmarking and testing each time. That way, you will establish the best for your setup.

I used to run a KR7A-Raid board by Abit, and the differences were HUGE. Some mixes would not even boot, but others were fine.

ABIT reccoemnds you start filling up dimm slots starting at 4, then 3, then 2, and then 1 on the AT7-Max. Dont know about other boards.
