ram upgrading help

I want to get more ram for my system. I was thinking about 2 Geil 512MB sticks (pc3200/ddr400)

I currently have 2 Geil 256MB sticks (pc3200/ddr400) running dual channel

I have been on another forum asking this question but I got mixed answers some says it will work and others saying it will destroy the motherboard


my motherboard is a ASUS P4P800-deluxe

will I be able 2 run to dual channels one with the 256 sticks and another with the 512MB sticks
