RAM Woes On K8N Plat

I have a K8N Platinum.

I have two sticks of ram.
256mb of GeIL Golden Dragon PC3500 433MHz DDRGD3500-256
and
256mb of Kreton Xtreme Speed Memory PC3500 T256M-3500

I have tried every combination and just having one of the sticks in and I ALWAYS get 256mb total, not 512.

Any tips?

You could try flashing another bios...
