Can't wait for DSL to make it 1 more block. I have had to revert back to the old 56k modem. I have tweaked this thing to the core and have gotten ping times to the upper 100's, but as I am surfing I get stops in traffic, like a red light. This is also happening while gaming and if I can get this to stop, then maybe I can be playable again. I have a USR 5610 Performance Pro Modem with the V.92 flash. I am connecting at 60k from a Reg Tweak. I have Error control ON. IP header compression OFF, Software Compression OFF. MTU 576 MSS 536. DefaultRcvWindow 4380 Default TTL 32. These are the main settings that are played with. I have also cleaned and re-spliced the phone wires at the main phone block on the side of my house. The next project is using CAT 5 in place of my current wiring. ANY advice is much appreciated. You guys rock!!!!
